Remove four friction discs (102) and three clutch plates (103) from the No. 1 (reverse) clutch housing.

Remove ring gear (104) .

Use a suitable hoist to remove shaft (105) and carrier assembly (106) from the No.1 (reverse) clutch housing. The weight of the shaft and the carrier assembly is 25 kg (55 lb).

Remove seal ring (109) from carrier assembly (106). Remove seal rings (107) and (108) from the seal carrier.

Use a soft faced hammer to push shaft (105) out of the bearing in carrier assembly (106) .

Check the condition of inner bearing race (110). If inner bearing race (110) is worn or damaged, use new parts for replacement. If inner bearing race (110) is not worn or damaged, do not remove the bearing race. Use a hammer and a chisel in order to remove inner bearing race (110) from shaft (105). Remove the pin that holds the seal carrier on shaft (105) .
Use a press and Tooling (J) to push shaft (105) out of bearing race (110) .

Use a hammer and a punch to push the spring pins through carrier assembly (106) and into planetary shafts (111). Remove planetary shafts (111) from carrier assembly (106)

Remove thrust discs (112), bearings (113), planetary gears (114) and thrust discs (115) from the carrier assembly.

Use Tooling (K) to remove retaining ring (116) that holds bearing (117) in carrier assembly (106) .

Use Tooling (G) and a press to remove bearing (117) (obscured) from carrier assembly (106) .

Remove clutch piston (118) from No. 1 (reverse) clutch housing (119) .

Remove seal rings (120) and (121) from clutch piston (118) .

Use a suitable hoist in order to turn housing (119). The weight of clutch housing (119) is approximately 43 kg (95 lb).
Use Tooling (D) to remove retaining ring (122) that holds bearing (123) in clutch housing (119) .
