Attach a suitable lifting device to axle group (18). The combined weight of axle group (18) and support assembly (19) is approximately 5950 kg (13117 lb).
Position axle group (18) and support assembly (19) onto the machine. Place Tooling (A) to support axle group (18), as shown. Refer to Tool Operating Manual, NEHS1328, "Lift Group (Stand - 60 Ton)" for more information on Tooling (A).

Install pin assembly (21). Apply Tooling (F) to the threads of the bolt (20). Install bolt (20). Tighten bolt (20) to a torque of 430 60 N m (317 44 lb ft).Note: Tooling (D) will be pushed out by installation of pin assembly (21).

Install the fittings and grease hose (17).

Connect tube assemblies (16) to both sides of the axle group.

Install plate assemblies (14), clip (15), and bolts (13) that hold the tube assemblies.

Connect hose assemblies (11) and (12).

Remove Tooling (B) from block (10).

Connect hose assembly (9).

Connect harness assembly (5). Install clips (7) and straps (6)

Connect harness assembly (4) and install clips (3).

Position plate (2) and install bolts (1).
Fill the differential and final drive. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Differential and Final Drive Oil - Change".
Fill the hydraulic tank (hoist and brake). Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Hoist and Brake Tank Oil - Change".
Purge the air from the brake system. Refer to "Testing and Adjusting", "Brake System Air - Purge".End By:
Install the rear tires and rims.
Install the lateral control rod.
Install the rear suspension (cylinders).
Install the transmission and planetary gears.
Install the body and canopy.
