Information:

START BY:a) remove radiator guardb) remove automatic timing advancec) remove vibration damper and pulleyd) remove water pumpe) remove alternatorf) remove air conditioning compressorg) remove oil pan 1. Install tooling (A) on engine block as shown. Lift tube in tooling (A) so it just makes contact with the support beam. 2. Remove alternator bracket (3) and air conditioning compressor bracket (4).3. Remove five nuts (2) to remove cover (1) from the timing gear cover. 4. Remove bolts (5) that hold engine front support to machine frame bracket. 5. Lift engine with tooling (A) until there is clearance between engine front support and frame bracket. Remove eight bolts (6) to remove engine front support (7).
Do not cause damage to the crankshaft front seal when the timing gear cover is removed.
6. Use tool (B) to remove six studs (8), if necessary. Remove three bolts (9) then remove timing gear cover (7) and gasket.Install Engine Front Support And Timing Gear Cover
1. Install a new gasket on the timing gear cover. Install timing gear cover (1) over two dowels on the engine block, and install the three bolts that hold it. 2. If necessary, put 9S3263 Thread Lock on threads of studs (2). Install studs with tool (B) and tighten the studs to a torque of 25 4 N m (20 3 lb ft). Cut the gasket between the timing gear cover and the block even with the bottom of the timing gear cover after assembly. 3. Install engine front support (3) on timing gear cover with eight bolts (6). Put four bolts (9) in position in support and frame bracket. Use tooling (A) to lower engine. Tighten the four bolts. Remove tooling (A). 4. Install a new gasket on cover (4). Install cover (4) on timing gear cover with the five nuts (5) that hold it. Tighten nuts to 25 4 N m (20 3 lb ft).5.
