Remove the gear pump (torque converter, transmission). Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Gear Pump (Torque Converter, Transmission) Remove and Install".

Remove switch (2). Remove the O-ring seal from the switch.
Remove bolts (3), flange (1), and cage (4) from the pump as a unit.
Remove bolts (5).

Remove O-ring seal (6) from cage (4).
Remove spiral retaining ring (7) from flange (1).
Use Tooling (A) and a suitable press in order to remove flange (1) from cage (4).
If necessary, remove plug (8) from flange (1).
Use Tooling (B), and remove the bearing and the lip seal from cage (4).

Put identification marks on the pump gears. If the pump gears are reused, be sure to install the pump gears in the original position.
Turn over the oil pump and support the oil pump with wood blocks, as shown.
Remove O-ring seals (9), O-ring seal (11), and O-ring seal (12) from cover (10).
Remove bolts (13) and the washers. Remove cover (10).

Turn over cover (10), and remove O-ring seals (14) and (15).

Remove body assembly (19). Remove O-ring seals (16) from the body assembly.
Remove drive gear (17) and driven gear (18). Remove the key from the shaft for drive gear (17).

Turn over body assembly (19) and remove O-ring seal (20) from the body assembly.
If necessary, remove bearings (21) and dowels (22).

Remove drive gear (23) and driven gear (24). Remove the key from the shaft for drive gear (23).
Remove O-ring seal (25) from body assembly (26).

Turn over body assembly (26), and remove O-ring seal (27).
If necessary, remove bearings (28).

Remove drive gear (29) and driven gear (30).
Remove body assembly (31).
If necessary, remove dowel pins (32) from each side of body assembly (31).

Remove O-ring seal (34) from cover assembly (35).
If necessary, remove bearings (33).
