Due to low sales volume, some Moderate Service (MS) shoes are being replaced by Extreme Service (ES) shoes. When replacing a Genuine Moderate Service (MS) shoe with a Classic Extreme Service (ES) shoe, potential interference may occur. Grinding/machining of the leading or trailing edge might be required in order to provide clearance between the adjacent shoes. Reference Illustration 4. If more than one Genuine shoe must be replaced, position the shoes on the chain together. This will provide that any grinding/machining will only be required at one location. Reference Table 4 for the former Genuine part numbers and the new Classic part numbers.
