Introduction
For sites using regional settings in the operating system of the MCU server and in the MCU server service, the affected output of the machine configuration (mach_cfg.txt) file could be set as decimal points or commas. This could cause an issue when a value such as 1,000 (read as one in certain areas) would be generated and sent to the onboard display as "one thousand".Instruction to Change Regional Settings
To change the regional settings in the "MCUServer", perform the following steps:
Create a new user or have the user name and password for an existing user available.
Log in to the computer running the "MCUServer".
Select "Start" > "Control Panel" > "Region and Language", and select "English (United States)" as the format.
Select "Apply".
Select "OK". The regional settings appear as United States English.
Select "Start" > "Administrative Tools" > "Services" to open the windows services.
Right click the "MCUServer" service and select "Properties".

In the "Log On" tab select "This Account".
Select "Browse". The "Select User" dialog opens.

In "Enter the object name to select (examples):" field enter the user name.
Select "Check Names". If an error message appears, check the fields "Select this object type" and "From this location". These fields change depending on whether a domain logon is being used. For more information, please ask the site IT support staff.

When "Check Names" is successful, select "OK". The "Services" dialog appears.
Select "OK".
Restart the "MCUServer" service.Note: If the site IT support policies require the password to be changed regularly, the user must change the password in the MCU server "Properties" dialog, and restart the service, each time the password changes.After completing the work-around, the following will apply:If running Spanish/Portuguese MCU client software, then enter numbers as normal for Spanish/Portuguese speakers (1,000 = one, 1.000 = one thousand). If running English MCU client software, then enter numbers as normal for English speakers (1,000 = one thousand, 1.000 = one).For further information or assistance, submit a case through the TSC product support web portal.
