Use the following rework procedure in order to update the adaptable machines that are listed above with the improved radiator core assembly and coolant tank assembly:Rework Procedure

If radiator leaks, remove and replace with high ambient radiator core assembly (1) or with a standard ambient 349-8238 Radiator Core As .

Assemble connector (2) to coolant tank assembly (4) with O-Ring seal (3). Refer to Illustration 2.
Assemble sight gauge (5) to coolant tank assembly (4) with O-Ring seal (6). Refer to Illustration 2.
Assemble elbow (7) to coolant tank assembly (4) with O-Ring seal (3). Refer to Illustration 2.

Remove 364-8431 Coolant Tank Gp and replace with assembled coolant tank assembly (4). Reuse the cap. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, RENR8863, "Radiator Top Tank - Remove and Install".

Secure 423-1982 Hose (A) of length 460 mm (18.1 inch) to 243-2374 Tube As (B) using clip (8), clip (9), bolt (10), hard washer (11), and nut (12). Refer to Illustration 4.

Install 5P-4566 Elbow (C) to the radiator and connect 423-1982 Hose (A) using elbow (7) and O-Ring seal (2). Refer to Illustration 5.
Install 5P-6442 Hose (D) of length 680 mm (26.8 inch) to coolant tank assembly (4). Install the other end of hose (D) with existing 268-4045 Connector (E) as shown in Illustration 5.
Fill the cooling system by adding coolant slowly to the coolant tank assembly until coolant tank is full, keep running the engine at least 15 minutes to remove air. Turn OFF the engine. Add coolant, as needed, in order to maintain the coolant level within sight gauge. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, SEBU7889, "Cooling System Coolant Level - Check".
