Install the pressure gauge of 3450 kPa (500 psi). The pressure gauge should be in line with the line from the outlet on the charge filter to the inlet port on the hydraulic pump.
Test the hydraulic pressure while the emulsion system is operating. You can also check the pressure by using the additive spray system. Read the pressure gauge.
The charge pressure should be 1520 140 kPa (220 20 psi). If the pressure reading is incorrect, the charge relief valve on the pump needs to be adjusted. Also, the case drain pressure could be too high due to components in the pump or in the motor that are worn.
Remove the charge pressure relief valve. Add shims in order to increase the charge pressure, as needed. Remove shims in order to decrease the charge pressure, as needed.

Repeat Step 2 through Step 4 until the charge pressure is within the correct range of tolerance.
Remove the gauge.
