3-2 Track Idle Running Test
(1) Measuring instruments * Engine tachometer* Stop watch* Pressure gauge(2) Measuring condition 1. Place the machine on a level ground.2. Engine speed: Rated rpm(3) Measuring procedure 1. Raise the track to be tested, as shown left.2. Mark a desired shoe of the raised track.3. With the accelerator lever at full-load position, run the raised track.4. Place the machine on a hard, level surface which is 25 m or more long.2. Draw a straight line on the surface as a reference line.3. Place the machine so that one track is perfectly in line with the reference line, as shown below.4. Start the engine and, with the accelerator lever at full-load position, have the machine travel 25 m straight on the reference line by operating both travel levers simultaneously. 5. The first 5 m are for a trial run. Measure the time required for the machine to travel the remaining 20 m in each direction, with both travel levers at maximum stroke.6. Also, measure the travel deviation, which is the distance from the reference line, when stopped after traveling 25 m.Time required: Deviation: 3-4 Hold Test On Slope

Put a positional matchmark across a track and the ground.4. Stop the engine and hold the machine at this position for three minutes.5.
