Move the machine to a hard level surface in the operations area away from personnel and other machines. Reference: Refer to Troubleshooting, Testing & Adjusting, "Automation System Preparation for Troubleshooting" in this manual before operating the system.Reference: Refer to Troubleshooting, Testing, and Adjusting, "Machine Preparation for Troubleshooting" in this manual before operating the system.
Perform a visual inspection of the operations area. Prepare the operations area and the machine for troubleshooting.
Move the battery disconnect switch to the ON position.
Move the key switch to the ON position.
Move the Automation Control Switch to the ON position.
Move the Automation Control Enable Switch to the AUTO position.

(1) Automation ECM serial number plate
Record the serial number located on the Automation ECM serial number plate (1).

Open the "Software Manager".
Click "Scan Now" button (2) on the "Software Manager" window.

Observe IP address (3) of the Automation ECM which matches the serial number recorded in Step 7.
Left click on IP address (3).
Firmware versions installed on the Automation ECM are shown in firmware information window (4).
Right click "IP address:" (3) in the “Device Information” field and select “Install Package”.

Use file selection window to select flash file (5). Click on “Open” button (6).

Confirm details on the install window and click "Yes" button (7).
When package installation is complete, a status dialog popup box will appear indicating “Install Successful”. Note: If the package was installed on a version 12.04 Automation ECM, then the ECM will automatically reboot.
When Automation ECM status is again listed as "online", repeat Steps 8 thru 10. Verify that the version and package name in the firmware "Firmware Information" (4) is correct.
