1. Park the machine on a smooth, flat surface.
2. Turn the engine start switch to the OFF position.
3. Remove the rotor drive belt, refer to Media Number KENR8197: "V-Belt (Rotor Drive) - Remove and Install - Removal Procedure."

4. Remove the lower sheave (rotor drive), refer to Media Number KENR8197: "Lower Sheave (Rotor Drive) - Remove and Install - Removal Procedure."
5. The Rotor Planetary drive shaft will be exposed.

6. To Drain the rotor drive (planetary) oil, refer to Media Number KEBU8010: "Rotor Drive (Planetary) Oil - Change."
7. Align the larger holes in the shaft flange with the screws that retain the bearing cap. Remove all the screws (Item 107.) There is a total of four screws.

8. Disassemble the shaft assembly (Item 100) from the housing (Item 101.)

9. Disassemble the bearing (Item 104) from the shaft using Tool A.

10. Disassemble the retaining ring (Item 109.)

11. Disassemble the bearing (Item 105) from the shaft using Tool A.

12. Remove the front cover (Item 102.)

13. Remove the old radial seal (Item 103.)

14. Mount the new seal (Item 103) into the front cover using Tool B. Note: The lip of the seal needs to face the oil sump.

15. Perform Steps 7-12 in reverse order to reassemble the rotor planetary.
16. Refill the rotor drive (planetary) with oil, refer to Media Number KEBU8010: "Rotor Drive (Planetary) Oil - Change."
17. Install the lower sheave (rotor drive), refer to Media Number KENR8197: "Lower Sheave (Rotor Drive) - Remove and Install - Installation Procedure."
18. Install the V-belt, refer to Media Number KENR8197: "V-Belt (Rotor Drive) - Remove and Install - Installation Procedure."
19. The seal replacement procedure is completed.
