Install items (8) through (10) to manifold (11) .

Install manifold (11) using the existing bolt and washer.
Connect hose assemblies (1) and (4) that were disconnected in Step 8.
Connect 294-8274 Hose As (13) .
Install 246-0813 Hose As (12) between manifold (11) and parking brake control valve (7) .

Remove and discard 248-9979 Hose As (15) .
Install a 8S-4950 Cap to tee (16) .

Route 294-8274 Hose As (13) connected in Step 14, to the steering and bucket control valve (remote control) supply port.Installing the New Software
Use Caterpillar Electronic Technician (ET) service tool in order to flash the 313-5628 Monitor Software Gp into the Caterpillar Monitoring System.
Use Caterpillar Electronic Technician (ET) service tool in order to flash the 316-6570 Power Train Software Gp into the Power Train Electronic Control Module (ECM).

Use Caterpillar Electronic Technician (ET) service tool in order to change the value of the Remote Control Interlock System Engine Shutdown Enable Status or the Interlock System Engine Shutdown Enable Status.Note: Refer to ""Interlock Strategy with 316-6570 Power Train Software Gp and 313-5628 Monitor Software Gp Installed"".

Interlock Strategy
When operating the machine with the parking brake released you must perform one of the following actions within three seconds or the parking brake will engage, the transmission will select neutral, the implement and steering functions will neutralize and the engine will stop.
Apply the service brake
Maintain engine speed above 850 rpm
Maintain ground speed above 5 km/h (3.1 mph)When the machine is stopped you must perform one of the following actions within three seconds or the parking brake will engage, the transmission will select neutral, the implement and steering functions will neutralize and the engine will stop.

Engage the parking brakeNote: The interlock function engine stop can be configured using Caterpillar Electronic Technician (ET) service tool. The engine will stop when ENABLED.
