PROBLEM
The protective film on the torque converter sight glass plates, 276-8941 and 276-8942, was not removed during assembly on certain 793D Off-Highway Trucks. If the protective film is not removed, it will be difficult to accurately read the gauge.

At torque converter/transmission oil change, disassemble sight glass, remove film from both plates, and reassemble sight glass. Refer to RENR8328, "Powertrain Disassembly and Assembly".
