1 1 503-7360 Pin Coat the bore for the pin with black 5P-0960 Grease Cartridge.
As required, use the following shim rings (2), (3), and (4) in order to adjust maximum allowed clearance to 0.5 mm (0.02 inch) in between the cutting edges of upper jaw and lower jaw. Total shims should be evenly distributes between upper jaw and lower jaw:
2 2 172-3725 Shim Thickness of one shim is 2.50 0.15 mm (0.098 0.006 inch).
3 2 172-3726 Shim Thickness of one shim is 3.00 0.15 mm (0.118 0.006 inch).
4 2 172-3727 Shim Thickness of one shim is 3.50 mm (0.137 inch).
5 1 449-8124 Pin Coat the bore for the pin with black 5P-0960 Grease Cartridge.
6 1 449-8125 Nut Use the following procedure in order to tighten the nut:
1. Tighten the nut to 300 50 N m (221 37 lb ft).
2. Backoff the nut until the nearest set of holes is aligned.
7 6 6V-3938 Bolt Before assembly, apply blue Loctite 243 to the threads.
8 3 8T-7078 Bolt Torque to 520 70 N m (384 52 lb ft).
As required, use the following shim plates (9) and (10) in order to adjust maximum allowed clearance to 0.5 mm (0.02 inch) in between the cutting edges of upper jaw and lower:
9 6 169-0386 Shim Thickness of one shim is 1.0 mm (0.04 inch).
10 2 169-0388 Shim Thickness of one shim is 1.5 mm (0.06 inch).
11 1 449-8126 Pin Coat the bore for the pin with black 5P-0960 Grease Cartridge.
