This Program must be administered as soon as possible. When reporting the repair, use "PI1325" as the Part Number, "7751" as the Group Number, "56" as the Warranty Claim Description Code and "T" as the SIMS Description Code. Exception: If the repair is done after failure, use "PI1325" as the Part Number, "7751" as the Group Number, "96" as the Warranty Claim Description Code, and "Z" as the SIMS Description Code.
Problem
Several 777D Trucks have been shipped from the factory with steering arms that do not have proper surface finishes. These trucks need to have the steering arms inspected to insure that the bottom mounting surface of the tapered bores are free of grind or deburr marks. If surface has grind or deburr marks and is not smooth, the steering arm will need to be replaced.

Inspect the steering arms to insure that the bottom mounting surface of the tapered bores are free of grind or deburr marks. If surface has grind or deburr marks and is not smooth, replace steering arm.
REPLACEMENT PROCEDURE:
Refer to the Service Manual as needed.
Do not reuse 2H3758 Bolts, 1B4445 Nut or 3B5316 Cotter Pin.
Fasten steering arms to axles of 4T4756 Front Suspension Group using four 2H3758 Bolts and four 5D0764 Hard Washers. Tighten the four 2H3758 Bolts to a torque of 1800 200 N m (1325 150 Lb Ft).
If the ballstuds for steering cylinders and tie rod ends are removed, clean the tapers and apply 4C5593 Antiseize on the ballstud tapers. Then install slotted nuts and tighten to 1360 N m (1000 Lb Ft). If neccessary tighten the nut until cotter pin can be easily inserted.
Make sure the spindle and steering arm mounting surfaces are clean before installation of the steering arm on the studs.
