Installation Procedure
Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before assembly, all parts should be thoroughly cleaned. Inspect all parts. If any parts are worn or damaged, use new parts for replacement. All disassembly and all assembly procedures must be performed on a clean work surface and in a clean hydraulic area. Keep cleaned parts covered and protected at all times.Note: Check the O-ring seals, the gaskets, and the seals for wear or for damage. Replace the components, if necessary.Note: Lubricate all components with the oil that is being sealed before assembly.
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.

Install O-ring seals (5) and (6) on tube assembly (3) .

Place gear pump (4) in position over the dowel rods (not shown) in the torque converter housing.
Install bolts (1) in order to secure the gear pump. Tighten bolts (1) to a torque of 55 10 N m (41 7 lb ft).
Install tube assembly (3) and then install bolts (2). Tighten bolts (2) to a torque of 55 10 N m (41 7 lb ft).End By: Connect the transmission and the torque converter. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Transmission and Torque Converter - Connect".
