COMPONENT CODE 4050SUBJECT: Certain motor graders may not have the proper torque applied TO Certain Nuts And Bolts within the Final Drive Group
PROBLEM:
Illustration 1. 8W-4368 Final Drive Group
Certain motor graders may not have the proper torque applied to 2J-3506 Nuts (1) and 3E-4307 Bolts (2) within the 8W-4368 Final Drive Group, which may result in oil leaks at either the diff case or tandem housing joint.
SOLUTION:
Torque the 2J-3506 Nuts and the 3E-4307 Bolts to the proper specification. Refer to Disassembly & Assembly, RENR4108, "12H, 140H, 160H Motor Graders Power Train" for the required torque specifications.
