When submitting claim for Parts Stock Action, Use the appropriate 99Z as the s/n, the appropriate Service Letter Program Number as the Part number in the Part Causing Failure field, "7751" as the Group Number, "56" as the Description Code.
The information supplied in this service letter may not be valid after the termination date of this program.Do not perform the work outlined in this Service Letter after the termination date without first contacting your Caterpillar product analyst.

PROBLEM
Change level -04 2W1054 Oil Screens need to be removed from dealer parts stock inventory. These screens are for use on certain 3500 Engines. The screens can fail during dyno testing. If the existing screen fails it can/will allow debris into the engine oil system.
ACTION REQUIRED
Remove all change level -04 2W1054 Oil Screens from dealer parts stock inventory. The screens can be identified by the part number stamped into the handle.

Image 2 shows Rev Level -05, part number is silk screened onto handle.
