This Program must be administered as soon as possible. When reporting the repair, use "PI1352" as the Part Number, "7751" as the Group Number, "56" as the Warranty Claim Description Code and "T" as the SIMS Description Code. Exception: If the repair is done after failure, use "PI1352" as the Part Number, "7751" as the Group Number, "96" as the Warranty Claim Description Code, and "Z" as the SIMS Description Code.
Problem
The steering cylinder rod ends (ball socket) on certain 12H, 120H, 135H, 140H, 143H, 160H, and 163H Motor Graders may interfere with the axle when the wheels are turned fully to one direction and the wheels leaned in the opposite direction. The ball socket may contact the step in the axle where the milled face stops and may also contact the flat portion of the axle-end face.

Action Required
Check for interference with the wheels fully turned in either direction and lean the wheels in the opposite direction. If there is interference on the end casting chamfer then grind it for clearance. If the socket assembly interferes with the milled face of the end casting then weld a 2mm shim to the spindle housing stop & grind flush with plate.
