Ensure that switch (3) is in the OFF position. All electrical power to the calibration bench must be disconnected.
Check the oil level in the reservoir for the governor test fluid. Remove cover (1) and add clean SAE 10W engine oil to the reservoir, if necessary. Add the engine oil until the oil level on the indicator inside the reservoir indicates that the engine oil is at the "2/3 CAL" Mark. Install cover (1) .
Remove plug (4) and check the oil level in the variable speed drive on the governor calibration bench. If oil does not flow out of the hole for plug (4), remove plug (2) at the fill port. Add the recommended oil until the oil seeps from the hole for plug (4). When the correct oil level is obtained, install plugs (2) and (4). Use drain plug (5) in order to drain the oil from the reservoir. For additional information on the type of oil that is used in a specific variable speed drive, refer to Table 2.
