Installation Procedure
Note: When you fit the felling head to the machine, it is very important to properly shim the mounting pin locations.Reference: For more information on properly fitting the felling head to the machine, refer to Specifications, "Felling Head Mounting" for the machine that is being serviced.
Carefully align the machine up to the felling head. Raise or lower the lift arms in order to align the lower pin holes of the felling head.
Move the tilt arms forward or backward in order to match up with the upper pin holes of the felling head.

Install two pins (8) and (10) into the left side of the felling head.

Install two pins (3) and (5) into the right side of the felling head.

Install two bolts (7) and (9) into the left side of the felling head. Install any washers that were previously removed behind the bolts.

Install two bolts (4) and (6) from the right side of the felling head. Install any washers that were previously removed behind the bolts.

Disconnect the hydraulic hoses before uncoupling the work tool from the machine in order to prevent the work tool from moving, and the possibility of injury or death.
The control lines for the arms are located in the left side cover plate. The control lines for the piston motor that drives the disc saw are located in the right side cover plate. Install the hoses that connect to each of the following hydraulic functions:
Grapple Arms (Head End)
Grapple Arms (Rod End)
Accumulator Arms (Head End)
Accumulator Arms (Rod End)
Port for the motor (B)
Port for the motor (A)
Port for the case drain (T) Note: Ensure that the pressure is relieved from the hydraulic system. See Disassembly and Assembly, "Felling Head Mounting - Remove" in order to ensure that all of the hydraulic system pressure has been relieved prior to performing the following procedure.

Install four bolts (1) and washers into each cover (2). There are a total of two covers (2), eight bolts (1) and eight washers.
