The problem that is identified below does not have a known permanent solution. Until a permanent solution is known, use the solution that is identified below.Problem
Occurrence rate of E1050 (2), E1051 (2), E1052 (2) and E1053 (2) are higher than normal. In some cases, normal troubleshooting is not identifying the root cause. Also, in some cases, the electric priming pump, and base assembly are being replaced as an assembly when it may be more economical to replace lower level serviceable parts within the baseSolution
Updated Software
If event codes E1050, E1051, E1052, and E1053 are present, check the engine flash-file part number. Refer to Special Instruction, REHS7929. The engine software update referenced must be installed to ensure that correct electronic diagnostic values are applied.New ARD Fuel Pressure Sensor
If diagnosing an E1050 (2) High Aftertreatment #1 Fuel Pressure #1 or E1051 (2) High Aftertreatment #1 Fuel Pressure #2 event code, update the 320-3064 Pressure Sensor Gp (pilot fuel pressure) and 320-3065 Pressure Sensor Gp (main fuel pressure) on the CEM fuel manifold with the following new part numbers:
284-2728 Pressure Sensor Gp
298-6488 Pressure Sensor Gp Note: These new sensors do not contain the dampening orifice which alleviates concerns of pressure becoming trapped in the sensor element area.

(5) Loosen the manifold fitting to purge trapped airWhen the primary fuel filter is changed, air can be trapped between the electric priming pump and the CEM fuel manifold. The trapped air can cause the E1052 (2) Low Aftertreatment #1 Fuel Pressure #1 and/or E1053 (2) Low Aftertreatment #1 Fuel Pressure #2 to activate the next time a DPF regeneration is performed.To reduce the chance of this happening, crack the fitting loose at the CEM fuel manifold while the electric priming pump is running in the priming mode (key on engine off or with manual switch in some applications).Using the Troubleshooting Guide
If the above listed actions still do not resolve the faults from occurring, utilize the troubleshooting guide for the engine being serviced. Follow the steps as outlined.Servicing the Electric Fuel Pump
