Rework Procedure
1. Inspect the caulk in locations shown in Image 1.1.1. for evidence of cracked sealant along the seam as shown in Image 1.1.2. Proceed with this Rework Procedure if you find evidence of cracked sealant in the seam.

2. Before starting this Rework Procedure, raise the lift arm and install safety brace, this will provide clear access to the caulking area. Use appropriate ladder system to access the top of the cab. Refer to Image1.2.1.

3. There are three seams that need to be reworked. Refer to Image1.3.1. Tape off the seams in order to protect the painted surface. Refer to Image1.3.2.

4. Loosen the caulk from the seam using a putty knife. Refer to Image1.4.1. Start by running the putty knife down the inside and outside edges of the seam.
5. Using a putty knife, remove loosened caulk from the seam. Refer to Image1.4.1. Ensure that the area is clean by blowing the seam out with air.

6. Re-caulk seam with Loctite 5512 (black caulk) or 3M 740 (black caulk). Refer to Image1.5.1.
7. Use a clean rag or tube wipes in order to push the sealant into the seam. Refer to Image1.5.2.

8. Remove the tape from the caulk seam by pulling the tape away from seam. Refer to Image1.6.1.
9. If necessary, clean the areas around the caulk seams using Prosat Solvent Wipes or similar solvent wipes. Refer to Image1.6.2. Make sure to stay out of the seam itself.
