8.2To check the volume, the values collected from the callipers are compared with the measurements stored in the MOTOMIT. Checking can be done with either manual callipers or electronic callipers, using data transfer.The checking sequence, using electronic callipers:1. Reset the auxiliary memory (see section 9.4 Resetting).2. Harvest the selected trees normally3. Send the log list in the auxiliary memory to the callipers4. Print the auxiliary memory report (see section 9.3.1).5. Measure the logs with the callipers.6. Receive the measurement data from the callipers.7. Print a comparison report, and a calibration report (see 9.2 Calibration Reports)If manual callipers were used, then the data transfer steps are missed out, and the comparison is made manually by comparing the printout with the log measurements.See the calliper instructions for how to do the measurements.
