The measuring device consists of a measuring wheel with a built-in pulse generator. The wheel is mounted in the frame below the delimbing knives.The rotation of the measuring wheel is converted into pulses by the pulse generator. The pulses are counted by the control unit in the cab. The length that is fed out of the harvester head is shown on a display screen.System Configuration ( 320C FM)

Illustration 3 shows the interface wiring that connects the 320C FM electronic control module (ECM) for the engine and the pump to the Logmate 400 D computer.When the engine key start switch is turned to the ON position relay 1 is energized. The Logmate 400 D computer activates two different outputs. The outputs are based on the operating conditions.The following table shows the different operating conditions and the outputs that are activated by the Logmate 400 D computer. The table also shows the corresponding activated attachments "Atch stem" to the electronic control module (ECM) for the engine and the pump.
