The issues with the solenoid have led to it sticking during cranking in cold climates. The solenoid sticking will result in extended cranking or the engine being unable to start.

An improved solenoid is available. The solenoid has improved actuator performance in cold climates.The solenoid part number has not changed. The improvement has been introduced to the existing part number from manufacturing date code 2018.
