Remove the cab. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Cab - Remove" for the machine that is being serviced.

Remove bolts (1) and the washers that secure electrical breaker panel (2). Position the electrical breaker panel out of the way.
Remove bolts (3) and the washers that secure backup alarm (4) to the left side of fuel tank (6) .
Disconnect the wiring harness at connector (5) for the fuel sending unit.

Disconnect fuel lines (9) and (11) from the fuel filter/water separator (7). Cap the fuel lines in order to prevent contamination of the fuel system.
Disconnect fuel lines (10) and (11) at the fuel tank. Remove fuel line (11) from the machine.
Remove bolts (8) and the washers that secure the fuel filter/water separator to the fuel tank. Remove the fuel filter and the water separator.Note: You can access bolts (12) through the access holes in the left hand plate above the track.
Remove bolts (12) and (12A) that secure the fuel tank to the machine.

Attach Tooling (A) to the fuel tank. Use a suitable lifting device and a hoist to remove fuel tank (6) from the machine. The weight of the fuel tank is approximately 91 kg (200 lb).Installation Procedure

Use a suitable lifting device and a hoist to position fuel tank (6) on the machine. The weight of the fuel tank is approximately 91 kg (200 lb). Remove Tooling (A) from the fuel tank.

Note: You can install bolts (12) through the access holes in the left hand plate above the track.
Install bolts (12) and (12A) that secure the fuel tank to the machine.
Place the fuel filter/water separator in position on the fuel tank. Install bolts (8) and the washers that secure the fuel filter/water separator to the fuel tank.
Install fuel line (11) in the machine. Connect fuel lines (10) and (11) to the fuel tank.
Connect fuel lines (9) and (11) to the fuel filter/water separator (7) .

Connect the wiring harness at connector (5) for the fuel sending unit.
Place the backup alarm in position on the fuel tank. Install bolts (3) and the washers that secure backup alarm (4) to the left side of fuel tank (6) .
Place electrical breaker panel (2) in position on the fuel tank. Install bolts (1) and the washers that secure the electrical breaker panel.End By: Install the cab. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Cab - Install" for the machine that is being serviced.
