Removal Procedure
Note: Shut off the electrical disconnect switch and place the control handle in the NEUTRAL position.

Remove eight screws and washers (1) and remove access panel (2).

Remove tie straps (3). Note: Disconnect the steering rod from the bottom of the shaft. Access is through the floorplate. For machines that are equipped with a cab, remove the console covers also.

Disconnect two electrical connectors (6) at module (5).
Remove four bolts (4) and module (5).

Remove tie straps (7).

Disconnect four electrical connectors (8).
Reposition wiring harnesses (9) out of the way.

Remove four screws (10).
Reposition the parking brake assembly and gasket (11) to the side.

Remove two nuts and washers (12).

Remove two bolts (13) that are located inside housing (14).

Remove housing (14) with bearing (18) from housing (15). Reposition housing (14), as shown. Note: The bearing may remain inside the control group housing at this point. The bearing could also separate from the control group housing. In this case, reposition the bearing on the control group housing before you remove the wiring and the electrical connectors.
As you feed the wiring and connectors (16) through the opening in housing (15), lift control group housing (14) with bearing (18) from housing (15).

Remove O-ring seal (16) from housing (15).

Remove three bolts and washers (17) and remove housing (15).
