Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting, and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Dealer Service Tool Catalog" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Cat® products.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.
Note: Use Tooling (A) to cap or plug any open hoses or ports.

Disconnect harness assembly (1) (not shown).
Remove clean fuel module outlet pressure sensor (2).

Disconnect hose assembly (3).

Remove bolt (4), bolts (6), and pump cover (5).

Remove bolts (8) and manifold assembly (7).

Remove bolt (9), bolts (11) and manifold (10).

Remove bolts (12), bolt (15), bolts (16), manifold support (17), fuel pump (14), and fuel pump support (13).Installation Procedure
Install fuel pump (14) in the reverse order of removal.
Tighten bolts (16) and bolts (12) to a torque of 20 7 N m (177 62 lb in).
Tighten lean fuel module outlet pressure sensor (2) to a torque of 10 2 N m (89 18 lb in).
