B 138-7573 Link Bracket 3 Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before assembly, thoroughly clean all parts in cleaning fluid. Allow the parts to air dry. Do not use wiping cloths or rags to dry parts. Lint may be deposited on the parts which may cause trouble. Inspect all parts. If any parts are worn or damaged, use new parts for replacement. Dirt and other contaminants can damage the precision component. Perform assembly procedures on a clean work surface. Keep components covered and protected at all times.Note: Check the O-ring seals for wear or for damage. Replace the components, if necessary.
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.

Attach Tooling (B) and a suitable lifting device to torque converter (5). The weight of torque converter (5) is approximately 66 kg (145 lb). Use Tooling (B) and the suitable lifting device in order to position torque converter (5) to transmission (1) .Note: Note the orientation of torque converter (5) with the gear pump during the installation process.
Install bolt (4). Tighten bolt (4) to a torque of 285 25 N m (210 18 lb ft).
Install O-ring seal (3) and O-ring plug (2) .

Attach Tooling (B) and the suitable lifting device to transmission (1). Use Tooling (B) and the suitable lifting device in order to remove transmission (1) from Tooling (A). The weight of transmission (1) is approximately 340 kg (750 lb).
