Remove & Install Valve Cover Base
Start By:a. remove valve cover assemblies 1. Loosen hose clamp (1) and hose (2) from the valve cover base. Remove two bolts (3) and washers. Disconnect two electrical connectors (4). Disconnect electrical connector (5) and remove atmospheric pressure sensor (7) from the valve cover base. Disconnect electrical connector (6). Remove bolt (8) and washer. Disconnect wires (9) at each fuel injector. 2. Remove bolts (10), washers (12), isolators (13) and isolator sleeves (14). Remove valve cover base (11) and base gasket (15). The following steps are for the installation of the valve cover base.3. Position base gasket (15) and valve cover base (11) on the cylinder head assembly. Install isolator sleeves (14), isolator (13), washers (12) and bolts (10) that hold the valve cover base in position.4. Connect wires (9) at each fuel injector.5. Install bolt (8) and washer.6. Install atmospheric pressure sensor (7) in the valve cover base. Connect electrical connector (5) to the atmospheric pressure sensor.7. Connect electrical connectors (6) and (4).8. Install two bolts (3).9. Install hose (2) and tighten hose clamp (1).End By:a. install valve cover assemblies
