This Technical Information Bulletin describes a procedure to prevent battery cables from rubbing together on Small Track-Type Tractors. Do not perform any procedure in this publication or order any parts until you understand the information that is contained in this publication.Problem
There have been a few instances of the 187-4489 Cable As rubbing into the 180-8709 Cable As or the 180-8713 Cable As . If these cables rub into each other, a short may occur.Solution

Battery Compartment(Operator platform has been removed for clarity.) (1) 187-4489 Cable As (2) 180-8709 Cable As or 180-8713 Cable As (3) 200-6345 Mount with 193-3973 Ties Install one 200-6345 Mount with two 193-3973 Ties in order to keep the cables separate.

(4) Platform groundEnsure that the 187-4489 Cable As is attached to the platform ground. Refer to Illustration 2. There are two ground screws at location (4). The platform ground is the screw that is farthest from the door to the battery compartment.The addition of the 200-6345 Mount is effective with the following machines:
