B. Download the "Warranty Report" from the engine ECM before performing any troubleshooting or clearing diagnostic trouble codes.

Result: A 3468-2, 3468-8, 5576-2, 5576-8, 3469-2, 5577-2, 3469-8, or 5577-8, diagnostic code is active.

2. Manually Enter the Aftertreatment Identification Information
The CEM identification plate is located on the electronics panel.
Factory Passwords are required for this procedure.
A. Confirm that a certified CEM is installed on the engine.
Contact your local Caterpillar dealer for a list of approved CEM and RF configurations for your engine.
B. Record the affected CEM serial number and the configuration group from the CEM Identification Plate.
C. Verify that the affected CEM is a certified match with the engine.
Contact a Caterpillar technical communicator, if necessary.
   
Certified Match    
Result: The affected CEM is a certified match with the engine.
Proceed to Test Step 3.
Result: The affected CEM is not a certified match for the engine.
Repair: Remove the affected CEM and replace the affected CEM with a certified match for the engine. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly for removal and installation procedures. When the new CEM is installed, the"Aftertreatment Identification Number
