Install the wheel chocks.
Install the truck body retaining cable.
Hot engine components can cause injury from burns. Before performing maintenance on the engine, allow the engine and the components to cool.

Disconnect clamp assembly (1) .

Attach a suitable lifting device onto muffler (2). The weight of muffler (2) is approximately 59 kg (130 lb). Remove clamp assemblies (3) .
Remove muffler (2) .

Disconnect clamp assembly (4) .

Attach a suitable lifting device onto muffler (5). The weight of muffler (5) is approximately 59 kg (130 lb)Remove clamp assemblies (6) .
Remove muffler (5) .Installation Procedure
Install muffler (5) and muffler (2) in the reverse order of removal.
Apply Tooling (A) onto the threads of the bolts of clamp assemblies (6) and clamp assemblies (3) .
Tighten clamp assemblies (6) and clamp assemblies (3) to a torque of 30 7 N m (22 5 lb ft).
Tighten clamp assembly (4) and clamp assembly (1) to a torque of 16 4 N m (142 35 lb in). Tap the clamps assemblies around the diameter. Retighten clamp assembly (4) and clamp assembly (1) to a torque of 16 4 N m (142 35 lb in).Note: The static inspection torque for clamp assembly (4) and clamp assembly (1) should be a minimum of 9 N m (80 lb in).
