Component Code(s) 7308SUBJECT: THE DOOR FOR THE CAB MAY BE DIFFICULT TO OPEN ON CERTAIN FORESTRY MACHINES
PROBLEM:
Reports from the field indicate that the door for the new forestry cab may be difficult to open. The cab door may remain closed after the door latch has been released.
SOLUTION:
If the door for the cab is difficult to open, there are options that can be implemented in order to eliminate the problems. Refer to the Illustrations for each option that follows:
The door striker (A) may be rubbing or interference is present. Loosen the bolts for the striker mechanism, adjust the mechanism, and add or remove washers if necessary.
The latch cover may rub against the frame. Loosen the four screws (B) for the cover and adjust the cover.
The keeper for the bell crank slides off of the shaft. Remove the eight bolts (1) for the outer cover. Make sure that the keeper (C) is securing the bell crank. The keeper should be attached to the shaft with thread lock compound. Apply 155-0695 Thread Lock Compound if the compound is not present.
