Also, sealant is used with the sleeves for the alternator and auxiliary drive pulleys. The Loctite® 648 (retaining compound) or Loctite® 120541 (core plug sealant) prevents oil leaks between the pulley and the wear sleeve. Prior to installing the sleeve to the pulley, apply the sealant to the inner side of the sleeve. Ensure that no excess sealant is allowed on the running surface of the sleeve.Adaptable To:

The following changes are adaptable to the products within the listed serial numbers, and are effective with all products after the listed serial numbers.The new 465-2689 Wear Sleeve Seal replaces the former 300-8567 Sleeve.The new 547-2367 Wear Sleeve Seal replaces the former 280-3313 Sleeve.The pulley assemblies and sleeves are listed in Table .1
