Push down on the transmission control button in order to select SECOND GEAR. Note: The first indicator light will illuminate when the transmission is in SECOND GEAR.

Automatic Engine Speed Control (AESC) as displayed on the programmable function key in the monitor.
Disable the automatic engine speed control through the monitor by pressing the programmable button.

Joystick (front switch)
Disable the hydraulic modulation control, if equipped. Press the front switch on the right joystick in order to deactivate hydraulic modulation.
The air conditioning should be turned off for the following test. Temporary Setting of the Main Relief Valve

Loosen locknut (4) on main relief valve (5).
Turn adjustment screw (3) clockwise until the pressure at the load sensing signal pressure tap has decreased to the correct pressure. Note: A 1/4 turn of the adjustment screw clockwise in order to increase the pressure approximately 4000 kPa (580 psi).Note: Refer to Table 2 in this manual for the correct pressure.
Tighten locknut (4) on main relief valve (5). Temporary Setting of the Travel Pilot Solenoid Current Override
Start Electronic Technician.
Select the "Machine ECM" from the list of available controls.
From the top menu, select "Diagnostics".
From the pull-down menu, select "Diagnostic Tests".
Then select "Override Parameters".

(6) "Travel Motor Swash Plate Angle Limit Solenoid Current Override"
(7) "Travel Pilot Solenoid Current Override"
From this menu, adjust the current values of both the "Travel Motor Swash Plate Angle Limit Solenoid Current Override" (6) and "Travel Pilot Solenoid Current Override" (7) to 0.8 amp. Note: Do not advance past this ET configuration screen during the entire test. Switching to another screen will cause the settings to be lost.Test Procedure
To prevent injury or death, never work under a machine while a test is being performed.
Fully depress the service brake pedal. Note: Do not activate any implements.
Depress the travel speed pedal fully in the FORWARD position.
Check the pressure reading on the pressure gauge at pressure tap (1). Note: Refer to Table 2 for the correct pressure.
If the upstroke pressure is not set to the proper specification, perform the "Adjustment Procedure" in order to adjust the upstroke pressure. Adjustment Procedure
Stop the engine.
Loosen the locknut on adjustment screw (2) for upstroke pressure.
Turn the adjustment screw (2) for upstroke clockwise in order to increase the upstroke point. Turn the adjustment screw (2) for upstroke counterclockwise in order to decrease the upstroke point. Note: Always make the final pressure adjustments on the pressure rise.
Tighten the locknut (2) for upstroke pressure.
Verify that the upstroke pressure at pressure tap (1) is with in specifications. Note: Refer to Table 2 for the correct pressure.
