Information:

2. Remove brake control rod assemblies (1) and (5). Remove steering clutch control rod assemblies (2) and (3). Remove transmission forward-reverse rod assembly (4). 3. Disconnect rod assembly (8) from the interlock lever on the transmission. Remove rod assembly (9).4. Remove two bolts (7) and interlock linkage (6). 5. Turn interlock lever (12) toward the transmission as shown.6. Disconnect hose assembly (10) from the bevel gear case. Put a plug in the case and hose to keep dirt out. Remove clip (11).7. Disconnect hose assembly (13) at the tube assembly.8. Remove clip (15). Remove tube assembly (14).
View From Under Machine9. Disconnect tube assembly (16) from the bevel gear case. Disconnect the tube assembly from the side of the transmission by the removal of a nut, washer and clip. Put plugs in the bevel gear case and tube assembly to keep dirt out.
View From Under Machine10. Disconnect tube assembly (18) from the steering clutch and scavenge oil pump.11. Remove three bolts (19) that hold magnetic screen in position. Remove magnetic screen (17) and tube assembly (16) as a unit.
View From Under Machine12. Disconnect hose assemblies (21) and (22) form the steering clutch and scavenge oil pump. Remove two bolts (20) that hold the manifold to the bottom of the relief valve. 13. Disconnect hose assembly (23) from the transmission. Remove nuts (25) and washers that hold the transmission and steering clutch oil filter (24) in position. Remove the filter. 14. Remove the eight bolts that hold universal joint (26) in position. Remove the universal joint. 15. Disconnect wires (27) from the switch for the back-up alarm. Move the wires away from the transmission. 16. Fasten a hoist to the transmission as shown. Remove twelve nuts (28) and washers that hold the transmission to the bevel gear case. 17. Install two 5/8"-11 NC forcing screws (29) in the case of the transmission. Tighten the screws evenly until the transmission is free from the bevel gear case. 18. Pull the transmission completely out of the bevel gear case and turn it 90° as shown. Remove transmission (30) from the machine. The weight of the transmission is 540 lb. (245 kg).19. Remove large O-ring seal (31) and the small O-ring seal from the transmission.Install Transmission (Direct Drive and Special Application)
1. Install large O-ring seal (1) and small O-ring seal (2) in the transmission case as shown. Put 1P808 General Purpose Lubricant on the O-ring seals. 2. Fasten a hoist to the transmission (3). Turn the transmission as shown and lower it in the machine. 3. Turn the transmission and put it in position in the bevel gear case. Install the twelve nuts and washers that hold the transmission in position. Remove the hoist from the transmission. Make an adjustment to the backlash on the bevel pinion gear if necessary. See BEVEL GEAR AND PINION SHAFT SETTINGS in this service manual 4. Put universal joint (4) in position between the transmission and flywheel clutch. Install the eight bolts that hold it.
