Information:

Remove Input Clutch
If cage assembly (6) does not have to be removed the input clutch can be removed with the winch installed on the machine.start by: a) remove winch The magnetic screen is removed for illustration purposes only. 1. Remove cover (1). 2. Remove tube assembly (2).3. Disconnect tube assembly (3).4. Remove ground body bolts (4). 5. Install 1/4"-20 NC forged eyebolt (5) on the input clutch. Move the input clutch and the shaft assembly toward the rear of the winch case. Remove the input clutch assembly. Weight is 60 lb. (27 kg). 6. Remove the bolts that hold cage assembly (6) in position. Use 3/8"-16 NC forcing screws to remove the cage assembly. Remove the O-ring seals from the cage assembly. 7. Remove coupling (7) from the cage assembly.8. Remove bearing (8), spacer (11), bearing (10) and seal (9) from cage (6). 9. Remove cage (12) from the shaft assembly. 10. Remove shaft assembly (13) from the input clutch. 11. Remove O-ring seals (17) from shaft (13).12. Remove ring seal (14).13. Use a press and tooling (A) to remove carrier (15) and bearing (16) from shaft (13).Install Input Clutch
1. Clean and inspect all parts. Make a replacement of all parts that are worn or damaged. 2. Heat bearing (3) and carrier (2) to make it easier to install them on shaft (5).3. Install O-ring seals (4) on the shaft.4. Put seal ring (1) in position on the carrier. 5. Use a press and tooling (A) to install seal (10) in cage (6) as shown. Put clean SAE 30 oil on the lip of the seal.6. Use a press and tooling (A) to install bearing (7), spacer (8) and bearing (9) in the cage.
Put pressure only on the outer races of bearings (7) and (9).
7. Install coupling (11) in the cage assembly.8. Install the shaft assembly in the input clutch. 9. Put clean SAE 30 oil on seal ring (1). Install cage (12) on the shaft assembly. 10. Install the O-ring seals on cage assembly (6). Put clean SAE 30 oil on the O-ring seals.11. Put 7M7260 Liquid Gasket Material on the contact surfaces of the cage assembly and the winch case. Install the cage assembly on the case. Tighten the bolts to a torque of 36 2 lb.ft. (46 3 N m).
Make sure shaft (5) and the input clutch makes engagement with the coupling.
12. Use a hoist and a 1/4"-20 NC forged eyebolt to put the input clutch in position.
Bolts (13) are body ground bolts.
13. Install body ground bolts (13) in the cage and the winch case. Tighten the bolts to a torque of 40 2 lb.ft. (55 3 N m). 14. Install tube assembly (14).15. Connect tube assembly (15). 16. Install gasket and cover (16). Tighten the bolts to a torque of 40 2 lb. ft. (55 3 N m).end by:a) install winch (if removed)
