Remove the drum. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Drum - Remove".
Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Caterpillar Tools and Shop Products Guide" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Caterpillar products.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.

Position supports under plate assemblies (1) and (2), as shown.Note: The CS76 and CP76 have five mounts on each side. The CS76 XT has six mounts on each side.
Attach a suitable lifting device to plate assembly (1). Remove the bolts and remove plate assembly (1) from the mounts. The weight of the plate assembly is approximately 249 kg (550 lb).
Attach a suitable lifting device to plate assembly (2). Remove the bolts and remove plate assembly (2) from the mounts. The weight of the plate assembly is approximately 249 kg (550 lb).

Drain the oil from vibratory support (3) into a suitable container. The capacity of the vibratory support is 1.2 L (0.3 US gal). Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Vibratory Support Oil - Change" for the correct procedure.
Remove bolts (4). Remove vibratory motor (5) and the O-ring seal from vibratory support (3) .

Attach a suitable lifting device to plate (6). Remove bolts (8) and remove plate (6) from vibratory support (3). The weight of the plate and the mounts is approximately 160 kg (353 lb).
Remove the bolts and mounts (7) from plate (6), if necessary.

Remove shaft assembly (9) from vibratory support (3). Place a suitable cover over the vibratory support housing in order to prevent contamination.

Attach Tooling (A) and (B) and a suitable lifting device to vibratory support (3). Remove bolts (10) and remove vibratory support (3) and the O-ring seal from eccentric weight housing (11). The weight of the vibratory support is approximately 60 kg (132 lb).
