PROBLEM
The 187-6289 Front Roller Frames on certain D10T Track-Type Tractors may have a lack of fusion issue on the weld between the bulkhead forging and the bottom plate. This issue affects four welds per machine. The welds affected are the inside and outside welds on each frame. The issue has only been found on the top leg of the weld where the weld fuses to the bulkhead forging. This program provides time to inspect the weld and repair if necessary.

Rework Procedure
Three possible repair scenarios should be considered to correct the lack
of fusion weld defect depending on the depth and length of the issue.
Thoroughly clean and inspect the weld. Choose the option that best fits
the defect. If in doubt, proceed to option 3 and remove the weld.
