Remove the side panel behind the jump-start receptacle. Refer to Illustration 1.

Remove the retaining nut and lock washer on the battery disconnect switch, and remove the latch. Retain hardware and refer to Illustration 2.

Cut the tie straps to free both positive and negative battery cables then loosen and remove the battery cables from the terminals. Refer to Illustration 3.

Remove the battery disconnect switch assembly, and then install the new 382-9298 Plate As. The Plate As should be positioned as shown in Illustration 4.

Install a 1S-0994 Clip around the high voltage cable using a 8T-4136 Bolt and a 8T-4121 Hard Washer. The Bolt is installed into the boss on the Plate As. Refer to Illustration 5.
Reinstall the battery disconnect switch assembly. For disconnect switches similar to the one pictured in Illustration 2 discard the lock washer and install the lockout switch without a lock washer. For other disconnect switches the lock washer may be reinstalled. Refasten the battery cables to the proper terminals and reinstall tie straps to te cables.Note: Any assembly sealant present on the lockout switch must be removed prior to reinstallation.The new hardware is adaptable to the following machines:
