Rework Procedure: Pump Drive Bolts1. Remove the transmission from the machine.3. Disassemble the transmission far enoughto remove the pump drive. This involves the following steps:A. Remove the torque converter.B. Remove the 1466280 Cover by removing thefour bolts holding it. Illustration 1C. Separate front and rear transmission cases.D. Remove the pump drive by removing the sixbolts holding the pump drive to the front transmission case, see Illustration2. Illustration 2E. Remove the four bolts and the stator supportfrom the pump drive, see Illustration 3. Illustration 3. 1466274 Pump Drive4. Assemble the pump drive using the new 2635062Stator Support and four 2621618 Bolts. Tighten the bolts to a torque of12 +/- 3 N.m (10 +/- 2 lb ft).5. Assemble the transmission. This includesthe following steps:A. Install the pump drive to the front transmissioncase. Install the six bolts to hold the pump drive and tighten them toa torque of 55 +/- 10 N.m (40 +/- 10 lb ft).B. Clean both mating surfaces of the transmissioncases. Apply a continuous bead of 1U8846 Sealant to the mating surfaceof the rear transmission case.C. Install the front transmission case to therear transmission case. Install bolts and tighten them to a torque of 55+/-10 N.m (40 +/-10 lb ft).D. Install a new 5P0713 Lip Seal and 4S5879Seal into the 1466280 Cover. Lubricate the seals with the lubricant beingused. Illustration 4E. Install the cover and the four bolts. Tightenthe bolts to a torque of 55 +/- 10 N.m (40 +/- 10 lb ft).F. Install the torque converter.6. If a test bench is available, test the transmissionfor proper operation. If a test bench is not available, the transmissioncan be tested after installation into the machine.7. Install the transmission into the machine.8. Install new transmission oil filter.9. Test the machine for proper operation.
