Stopping the engine immediately after it has been working under load can result in overheating and accelerated wear of the engine components.If the engine has been operating at high rpm and/or high loads, run at low idle for at least three minutes to reduce and stabilize internal engine temperature before stopping the engine.Avoiding hot engine shutdowns will maximize turbocharger shaft and bearing life.
Emergency Stop Push Button (1) - The emergency stop push button (ESPB) is used to shutdown the engine during an emergency situation. The ESPB shuts off the fuel.Horn (23) - The horn activates when a fault (alarm or shutdown signal) is received by the controller. The fault is indicated with text on the controller display. Move the cursor to "ACK" and press the "SEL" key to reset the alarm.PPU (3) - The PPU controls the functions of the generator set.

Open the circuit breaker and remove the load from the generator.
Allow the engine to operate at low idle for at least 3 minutes so the engine can cool down.Note: Pressing the stop key bypasses the cooldown period.
Press and release the "Stop" key (6).
The LCD display will indicate "STOPPING".Note: If the engine fails to stop running, the LCD display will indicate "STOP FAILURE". The alarm will sound.
Once the engine has stopped, the LCD display will indicate "STOPPED".Remote Operation
Open the circuit breaker and remove the load from the generator.
Once the operator opens the circuit breaker, the PPU will automatically go into the cool down mode.
The cool down timer will start. The cool down mode will allow the engine to cool down properly. The LCD display will indicate "COOL DOWN".
The LCD display will indicate "STOPPING".Note: If the engine fails to stop running, the LCD display will indicate "STOP FAILURE". The alarm will sound.
Once the engine has stopped, the LCD display will indicate "STOPPED".
