Removal Procedure
Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting, and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Dealer Service Tool Catalog" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Cat products.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.
Turn the fuel shutoff valve to the OFF position.

Disconnect the harness assembly and remove filtered fuel pressure sensor (2) .
Remove the O-ring seal from the filtered fuel pressure sensor.
Disconnect the harness assembly and remove unfiltered fuel pressure sensor (1) .
Remove the O-ring seal from the unfiltered fuel pressure sensor.Installation Procedure

Install a new O-ring seal on filtered fuel pressure sensor (2). Apply Tooling (A) to the O-ring seal.
Install filtered fuel pressure sensor (2) and tighten to a torque of 10 2 N m (89 18 lb in).
Connect the harness assembly.
Install a new O-ring seal on unfiltered fuel pressure sensor (1). Apply Tooling (A) to the O-ring seal.
Install unfiltered fuel pressure sensor (1) and tighten to a torque of 10 2 N m (89 18 lb in).
Connect the harness assembly.
Turn the fuel shutoff valve to the "ON" position.
