When submitting claim for Parts Stock Action, Use the appropriate 99Z as the s/n, the appropriate Service Letter Program Number as the Part number in the Part Causing Failure field, "7751" as the Group Number, "56" as the Description Code.
The information supplied in this service letter may not be valid after the termination date of this program.Do not perform the work outlined in this Service Letter after the termination date without first contacting your Caterpillar product analyst.

PROBLEM
Some 0R4679 and 0R4680 Reman water pumps were assembled with the incorrect housing part number 219-4459. The impeller bore for the 219-4459 housing is considerably larger than the correct housing and will immediately fail in the field.
ACTION REQUIRED
Inspect all 0R4679 and 0R4680 water pumps in Dealer parts stock for incorrect water pump housing part number 219-4459.
Remove the water pump from the box and observe the pump housing part number.
- If the housing part number is 219-4459, (Image 1) remove the pump from dealer parts stock.
- If the housing part number is a part number other than the 219-4459, the water pump is good for use. Return the water pump to original packaging, mark the package to indicate the pump has been inspected according to this program (PI7####), and return the pump to dealer parts stock.

SERVICE CLAIM ALLOWANCES
Submit one claim for all parts removed from dealer parts stock.
PARTS DISPOSITION
Handle the parts in accordance with your Warranty Bulletin on warranty parts handling.
A Send It Back parts return request will be issued when the claim is filed with this program as the part causing failure.
