1 6 031-3185 Bolt Tighten the bolt in a numerical sequence 1,4,2,5,3,6,1,4 as shown in Illustration 2 to 240 40 N m (177 30 lb ft).
2 8 0S-1571 Bolt Torque to 66 6 N m (49 4 lb ft).
B - - Before tightening the bolts for the stub shaft, set distance (B) between the centers of camshaft gear and gear assembly with a gauge in order to obtain the gear backlash of 0.216 0.114 mm (0.0085 0.0045 inch).
3 2 5P-4142 Locking Bolt Torque to 55 10 N m (41 7 lb ft).
4 10 9S-8752 Full Nut Refer to the following procedure when nut is loosened for service:
1. Remove the nut.
2. Clean the nut with a wire brush.
3. Apply blue Loctite 242 to the threads before assembly.
4. Tighten nut to 55 10 N m (41 7 lb ft).
5 10 126-1756 Locking Bolt Refer to the following procedure when any bolt is loosened for service:
1. Remove the bolt.
2. Clean bolt with a wire brush.
3. Apply blue Loctite 242 to the threads before assembly.
A new bolt with a previously applied thread lock is acceptable for use.
4. Tighten bolt to 30 7 N m (266 62 lb in).
6 2 6I-3624 Thrust Plate Install the oil groove of the thrust plate toward the face of gear assembly.
Thickness is 4.00 0.25 mm (0.157 0.009 inch).
7 1 0S-1571 Bolt Torque to 55 10 N m (41 7 lb ft).

9 1 117-8801 O-Ring Seal Before assembly, lubricate the bore lightly with 50/50 mixture of 8T-2998 Lubricant and clean engine oil.
10 1 352-9728 Gear As After installation, bore in the 128-2661 Bushing is 63.566 0.013 mm (2.5026 0.0005 inch).
Installation depth is 2.8 0.5 mm (0.11 0.02 inch).
11 5 2J-3118 Locking Bolt Tighten the bolt in a numerical sequence 1, 3, 4, 5, 2, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 1 as shown in the Illustration 4 to 55 10 N m (41 7 lb ft).
Refer to the following procedure when any bolt is loosened for service:
1. Remove the bolt.
2. Clean bolt with a wire brush.
3. Apply blue Loctite 242 to the threads before assembly.
A new bolt with a previously applied thread lock is acceptable for use.
4. Tighten bolt to 55 10 N m (41 7 lb ft).
12 1 112-9217 Thrust Plate Install the oil groove of the thrust plate toward the face of gear assembly.
Thickness is 4.00 0.25 mm (0.157 0.009 inch).
13 1 197-4971 Stub Shaft Lubricate the gear journals, bearing bores and thrust faces with engine oil.
