2. Remove fan guards (1) from the radiator.3. Loosen the bolts that hold the alternator in position to remove the tension on vee belts (2). Remove vee belts (2) from the engine. 4. Fasten a hoist to the fan drive as shown. Remove bolts that hold the fan drive bracket to the timing gear cover.5. Remove the fan and fan drive as a unit. The weight of the unit is 55 lb. (25 kg).Install Fan And Fan Drive
1. Fasten a hoist to the fan and fan drive. Put the unit in position on the timing gear cover and install the bolts to hold it. 2. Install vee belts (2) on the pulleys. Make an adjustment of the vee belts. See INSTALL ALTERNATOR.3. Install fan guards (1) on the radiator.4. Put clean grease in the fan drive.5. Install the hood and side panel assemblies on the machine.Disassemble Fan And Fan Drive
start by:a) remove fan and fan drive 1. Remove the bolts and remove fan assembly (1) from the adapter. 2. Remove the bolts and nuts to remove adapter (2) and the O-ring seal from the hub. 3. Remove bolts (3), the lock and washer. 4. Use a soft faced hammer to push hub (5) away from bearing (4). Remove bearing (4) by hand. 5. Remove pulley (8) and the hub from bracket assembly (6) as a unit. Remove the inner bearing and spacer from the hub.6. Remove spacer (7) from bracket assembly (6). 7. Remove hub (5) from pulley (8). 8. Remove seal (9) from hub (5).Assemble Fan And Fan Drive
1. Use tool group (A) to install the seal even with the end of hub (1) with the lip of the seal toward the outside as shown. 2. Install spacer (3) on bracket assembly (4) with the chamfer toward pulley (2).3. Install hub (1) in pulley (2). Put multipurpose type grease on the lip of the seal and install the pulley and hub on bracket assembly (4). 4. Install the inner bearing and spacer (5) in the hub. 5. Fill the area between the bearings in the hub with multipurpose type grease. Install outer bearing (6) in the hub. 6. Install washer (8), the lock and bolts to hold the bearing in position.7. Put adapter (7) in position on the hub and install the bolts and nuts to hold the parts together. 8. Put fan assembly (9) in position on the adapter and install the bolts and lockwashers that hold it.end by:a) install fan and fan drive
