Installation Procedure
Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting, and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Dealer Service Tool Catalog" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Cat® products.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.

Install mounts (15) to hydraulic tank (12).

Attach a suitable lifting device to the lifting brackets on hydraulic tank (12) and position hydraulic tank (12). The weight of hydraulic tank (12) is approximately 141 kg (310 lb).
Install bolts (14).
Install bolt (13).
Remove the suitable lifting device.

Use a suitable lifting device in order to position platform assembly (9). The weight of platform assembly (9) is approximately 86 kg (190 lb).
Install bolts (11) to the underside of platform assembly (9).
Install bolts (10).
Remove the suitable lifting device.

Install cover (6), cover assembly (7) and bolts (8) to the cab platform.

Install hydraulic fittings (4) and harness assemblies (5).

Connect hose assemblies (3).

Connect hose assemblies (2).

Connect harness assemblies (1).
Fill the hydraulic tank with oil. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Hydraulic System Oil (Steering and Brake) - Change". End By:
Separate the steering frame lock. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Steering Frame Lock - Separate and Connect".
