Installation Procedure
Note: The procedure to install the front high speed travel motor and the procedure to install the rear high speed travel motor is identical. The procedure that follows is for one of the high speed travel motors.

Install drive shaft (9) into the gear.

Install spacer (8) on the drive shaft.

Install O-ring seal (7) on the housing.

Position adapter plate (4) on the housing. Install O-ring seal (6) on the adapter plate.

Note: Make sure that the motor housing is filled with hydraulic oil. Make sure that the orientation of the ports for the travel motor are installed in the original position.
Fasten a hoist and lifting straps to travel motor (4). The weight of the travel motor is 34 kg (75 lb). Position the travel motor on the housing.

The lifting strap is removed for photographic purposes.
Install the washers, the lockwashers, and bolts (3). Remove the hoist and the lifting strap from the travel motor. Tighten bolts (3) to a torque of 280 N m (205 lb ft).

Connect hose assembly (2) .
Connect hose assemblies (1) .
Check the oil level in the final drive. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Final Drive Oil Level - Check" for the correct filling procedure.
Operate the machine in order to purge the air from the hydraulic system.
Check the hydraulic oil level. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Hydraulic System Oil Level - Check" for the correct filling procedure.End By: Install the platform that is located over the travel motor. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Platform - Install" in this manual.
